Bees go in search of fragrant flowers and gather the honey within them little by little, bring it to a branch of a tree, and store it there until it becomes a great honeycomb. One day, men who discover that great honeycomb come with burning torches, drive the bees away, and carry off the honeycomb they had stored. It is the bee itself that stored the honeycomb so large, and it is the bee itself that thereby gave it away to men. In the same way, the wealth that living beings gather little by little, once it grows large enough for others to notice, is carried off by others stronger than themselves. So no worldly wealth ever remains permanently with anyone.

It is the bee itself that stored the honeycomb so large and gave it away to men; likewise the wealth living beings gather is carried off by others stronger than themselves, so no worldly wealth ever remains permanent.
