  பௌர்ணமி நாளில் முழு ஒளியுடன் இருக்கும் நிலவு நாளுக்கு நாள் சிறிது சிறிதாகத் தேய்ந்து அமாவாசையில் முற்றிலும் மறைந்துவிடும்.

  The moon, full and radiant on the day of the full moon, wanes little by little day after day until it vanishes completely on the new moon.

  அதுபோலவே இன்று பெரிதாகத் தோன்றும் உலகச் செல்வமும் காலப்போக்கில் குறைந்து ஒரு நாள் முற்றிலும் இல்லாமல் போய்விடும்; இந்த நிலையில்லாத செல்வத்தால் வரும் துன்பங்களைப் பற்றிச் சொல்லவும் வேண்டுமா?

  So too the worldly wealth that looks great today will, over time, diminish and one day be gone entirely; is there even need to speak of the sorrows that come from such unstable wealth?

  இந்த அழியும் செல்வத்தின் மேல் மயங்கி நிற்காமல், என்றும் மாறாமல் நிலைத்திருப்பவனும் வானவர்களுக்குத் தலைவனுமான இறைவனையே தெளிவாக உணர்ந்து அடையுங்கள்.

  Do not stand deluded by this perishable wealth; clearly realize and reach the God who alone remains ever unchanging and is lord of the celestials.

  அவனை அடைந்தால், பெரு மழை பொழியும் கார்மேகம் போல அவனே பெருஞ்செல்வத்தைப் பொழிந்தருள்வான்.

  Reach him, and like a rain cloud that pours down abundant rain, he himself will pour down great wealth upon you.
