பெரியது எதுவோ அதைவிடவும் பெரியதாக இருக்கும் பெருமையையும், சிறியது எதுவோ அதைவிடவும் சிறியதாக இருக்கும் சிறுமையையும் அறிந்துகொண்டு, அருமையான எம்பெருமான் சதாசிவமூர்த்தியைப் போல அடியவர்களுக்கு அடியவராய் அருளும் எளிமையையும் முழுவதும் அறிந்தவர்கள் யார்? ஆபத்தில் தன் நான்கு கால்கள் ஒரு தலை ஆகிய ஐந்து உறுப்புகளையும் ஓட்டுக்குள் இழுத்துக்கொள்ளும் ஆமையைப் போல, சிவத்தை நோக்கித் தம் ஐம்புலன்களையும் அடக்கித் தியானித்திருக்கும் சிவயோகியர்கள், இறப்பு பிறப்பு இல்லாமல் எப்போதும் இறைவனின் பேரின்பத்திலேயே திளைத்து, செயலும் உணர்வும் இல்லாமல், இறைவனின் தன்மைகளை முழுமையாக அறிந்துகொள்வார்கள்.

Sivayogis, who withdraw their five senses toward Sivam and meditate, like a tortoise that draws its four legs and head, its five limbs, into its shell in danger, remain forever, without birth or death, immersed in God's supreme bliss, and, without action or feeling, come to know God's nature completely.
