The sivayoga practised by Sivayogis is this: severing the connection between chit, the soul, and achit, the body, entering the path of tapas and yoga, meditating so that oneself and the God within become one, not walking the worldly paths that cause birth and death, but seeking out and reaching the holy feet of God, the lord of souls. God, who came as guru and granted living beings this state of sivayoga, which yields the great fruit of birth, showed great compassion in doing so.
