  நம்பிக்கைக்கு உரியவனும், முதற்பொருளாக விளங்குபவனும், நான்கு வேதங்களாலும் ஓதப்படுபவனும்,

  He who is worthy of trust, who stands as the primal substance, who is chanted by the four Vedas,

• வரி 2Line 2

  தங்கத்தின் ஜொலிப்பு போல உள்ளே விளங்கும் சோதியுமான சிவபெருமான் மேல் அன்பு செலுத்தி,

  and who shines within like the glow of gold, that Shiva: setting one's love upon him,

  ஆசைகளை அடக்கி மனத்தை மேல்நோக்கி ஏறுமாறு செய்து,

  curbing one's desires and making the mind rise upward,

• வரி 4Line 4

  தலை உச்சியில் தியானித்திருந்தால், அங்கு இருக்கும் சிவபெருமானை வணங்கி அவனுடன் கலந்திருக்கலாம்.

  and meditating at the crown of the head, one may worship the Shiva who is there and abide mingled with him.
