• வரி 1Line 1

  குதிரையில் ஏறிப் பல இடங்களைச் சுற்றிப் பார்த்து, புல்வெளியில் ஓடவிட்டு, பின்பு பசுமையான மலையடிவாரத்தில் கட்டி வைப்பதைப் போல,

  Just as one who rides a horse, goes about seeing many places, lets it run on the grassland, and then ties it at the foot of a green hill,

  மனமாகிய குதிரையை பிராணவாயுவாகிய கடிவாளத்தின் மூலம் மேல்நோக்கிச் செலுத்தி,

  so too, directing the mind that is the horse upward by the rein that is the vital breath,

  தலை உச்சியையும் அதைச் சுற்றியுள்ள இடத்தையும் சுற்றிப் பார்த்துவிட்டு, தலை உச்சிக்கு மேலுள்ள வெற்றுவெளியில் செலுத்தி,

  going about and seeing the crown of the head and the place around it, and sending it on into the empty space above the crown,

  அங்கே வியாபித்திருக்கும் சிவபெருமானிடம் கட்டிவைத்து, அதன் மூலம் இறைவனைக் கண்டு உணர்ந்து, இறை நினைப்பிலேயே லயித்திருப்பதே சமாதி நிலை ஆகும்.

  and tying it there at Lord Shiva who pervades that space, coming thereby to see and realize God and being absorbed wholly in the thought of God, that is the state of Samadhi.
