உரைmeaning
செடிகளிலும் கொடிகளிலும் தழைத்து வளரும் செழுமையான தளிர்களின்மேல் பூக்கும் பூக்களும், அவை காய்க்கும் காய்களும், பின்பு பழுக்கும் பழங்களுமான இவை அனைத்துமே ஒருநாள் அழிந்துபோவதை - பூக்களும் காய்களும் பழங்களும் பறிக்கப்படுவதாலோ, தாமாகவே உலர்ந்து விழுவதாலோ - தினமும் பார்க்கும் உயிர்கள், இந்த வாழ்க்கை நிலைக்காது என்பதைப் புரிந்துகொண்டு, எது நிரந்தரமானது என்று தேடி, இறைவனே அனைத்திலும் நிரந்தரமானவன் என்பதைப் புரிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டும். அவனுடைய திருவடிகளைத் தொழுது வணங்காதவர்கள், தமக்கும் இறக்கும் நாள் வரும் என்பதை அறியாத மூடர்களே; இவர்கள் இறக்கும் தருணத்திலும் இறைவனை அறியாதவர்களாகவே இருக்கின்றனர்.
Living beings see every day how the flowers that bloom, the fruit that then forms, and the ripe fruit that follows, all growing upon the lush young shoots that flourish on shrubs and vines, are in the end all destroyed, whether the flowers, unripe fruit and ripe fruit are plucked away or simply wither and fall on their own. They must understand from this that this life does not last, seek out what alone is permanent, and understand that God alone is permanent in everything. Those who do not worship and bow at his holy feet are fools who do not know that their own day of death, too, will come; and even at the moment of their own death, such people remain those who do not know God.
