  தாயின் பங்கோடு தந்தையின் பங்கு சேர்ந்ததால், முந்நூறு நாட்களில் மனித உடல் பிறந்தது.

  The mother's part and the father's part came together, and in three hundred days the human body was born.

  அப்படிப் பிறந்த உயிர், இறைவனை அறியும் அறிவைத் தானாகவே கொண்டுவரவில்லை.

  The life so born did not bring with it, of itself, the knowledge by which God is known.

  அந்தக் குழந்தை பன்னிரண்டு ஆண்டுகளில் உலக வாசனையோடு வளர்ந்து, சிறிது சிறிதாக உலகப் பற்றுகளின்மேல் ஆசை கொள்கிறது.

  That child grows in twelve years amid the savour of the world, and little by little comes to desire the world's attachments.

  அந்த உயிர் எழுபது வயதில், இறைவனை அடையும் வழிகள் தெரியாமல், மனம் தெளிவு அடையாமலேயே உடல் கெட்டு அழிந்துவிடுகிறது; இதை யாரும் அறிந்துகொள்வதில்லை.

  That life at seventy, without knowing the ways by which God is reached and without the mind ever coming to clarity, sees the body decay and perish; and no one comes to know this.
