  ஐம்புலன்களும் செயல்படுகின்ற தலையாய ஐந்து இந்திரியங்களும், நாடிகளோடு பின்னிக் கிடக்கும் ஆறு ஆதாரங்களும்,

  The five chief organs through which the five senses act, and the six centres that lie interwoven with the channels,

  முப்பது எலும்புகளும், அந்த எலும்புகளை இணைக்கும் பதினெட்டு மூட்டுகளும்,

  the thirty bones, and the eighteen joints that link those bones,

  இவை அனைத்தையும் போர்வைபோல மூடி வைத்திருக்கும் தோலும், அதிலுள்ள ஒன்பது துவாரங்களும், பதினைந்து வகையான எலும்புத் தொகுதிகளும்,

  the skin that covers all of these like a blanket, the nine openings in it, and the fifteen groups of bone,

  இவை அனைத்தும் சேர்ந்த இந்த உடல் எரிக்கப்படும்போது வெறும் சாம்பல் மட்டுமே கிடக்கும்; அதற்குப் பிறகு அந்த உயிருக்கு என்ன ஆகின்றது என்பதை யாரும் அறிவதில்லை.

  this body made of all of them, when it is burnt, leaves only ash lying there; and what becomes of that life after it, no one knows.
