  தன் நாட்டிற்கு அரசனாகவும், குடிமக்களில் முதல்வனாகவும் இருந்தவன்.

  He who was king of his own land and first among its people.

  பலவித பல்லக்குகளில் ஏறித் திரிந்தவன், கடைசியில் சுடுகாட்டிற்குச் செல்லும் பாடையில் உயிர் பிரிந்து கிடக்கிறான்.

  He who rode about in palanquins of every kind lies at the last with the life gone from him, on the bier that goes to the burning ground.

  நாட்டின் குடிமக்கள் அவனுக்குப் பின்னால் வர, முன்னால் பறை அடிப்பவர்கள் மத்தளம் கொட்டுகிறார்கள்.

  The people of his land walk behind him, and ahead of him the drummers beat their drums.

  இதுவரை அவன் ஆட்சி செய்த நாட்டைவிட்டு அவன் செல்லும் முறை இதுவே ஆகும்.
