  ஊரில் ஒருவன் தன் முயற்சியால் பெரும் பொருள் சேர்த்து, பலரும் வியக்கும் வண்ணம் பல அடுக்கு மாளிகையைக் கட்டினான்.

  A man of the town gathered great wealth by his own effort and built a many-storeyed mansion that made many marvel.

  பின் ஊர் அறியப் பல்லக்கு ஒன்று செய்து அதில் ஏறினான்.

  Then, so that the whole town would know, he had a palanquin made and rode in it.

  He gave many gifts to the people of the town.
