புதிதாகத் திருமணம் செய்த மாப்பிள்ளைக்கு அறுசுவையோடு உணவு சமைத்து வைத்தார்கள். மாப்பிள்ளையும் அந்த உணவை நன்றாகச் சுவைத்து உண்டான். கொடிபோன்ற இடை கொண்ட இளம் மனைவியுடன் சுகமாகக் குலாவினான். இடது பக்கம் சிறிது வலிக்கிறது என்றான். மனைவி அவனைத் தன் மடியில் கிடத்திப் படுக்க வைத்து, என்ன ஆயிற்று என்று கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போதே, இதய வலியால் உயிர் பிரிந்து அவன் இறந்துபோனான். உயிர் எவ்வளவு நிலைப்புத் தன்மை இல்லாதது என்பதை விளக்கும் ஒரு நிகழ்வு இது. இதை உணர்ந்து, என்றும் நிலைத்திருக்கும் இறைவனையே போற்றுவோம்.
